Hospital Stay
Well I ended up staying in the hospital 4 nights which was a huge blessing because that meant I was so close to Mary-Cameron. I was able to be at all of her diaper changes, feedings, nurse changes and see her whenever I wanted. The thought of going home without her left us with a pit in our stomachs. Thanks to the generosity of some anonymous person/people we were able to stay at the hotel that is in Baylor Dallas. Which meant I did not have to drive back and fourth and was able to stay right near Mary-Cameron. It was a huge blessing and something I could never thank someone enough for. Our stay there seems like a blur now, but looking back I can see so much of the Lord's goodness in the nurses he gave us, in the friends that took care of things at our house, the people that watched our dogs, the family members that sat all day long with us even when they could not really see Mary-Cameron and he countless texts, calls, and prayers we received. None of this went unnoticed and it was the Lord's tangible way of wrapping his arms around us in such a scary time. This was definitely not how we saw Mary-Cameron's delivery or first days of life playing out, there were times where we were angry/scared that it was not happening the way we thought it should. Jeffrey one day sweetly reminded me that this is HER story that God is writing and we get the privilege of being apart of it. She has brought us so much Joy and watching her get stronger and stronger those first days in the hospital was incredible. She is a fighter, she is beautiful, and we pray that she comes to know Jesus as the Lord of her life. God has big plans for you Mary-Cameron Jones and we are so excited we get a front row seat!
Thankful for Mary-Cameron,

Introducing Mary-Cameron Jones
July 29, 2016 our lives were forever changed!
Mary-Cameron Jones
6:37am
6lbs 12oz
20 inches
Mary-Cameron decided to join us a little early and bring us the most joy/fear we have ever known. Thank you Jesus for making us her parents, for her beautiful life and for the family and friends we have to walk through all parts of life with. With her coming a few weeks early her lungs were not fully developed and she had to have a 10 day stay at the NICU. It was so scary watching our girl go through that. But the Lord was present through it all. He provided the most amazing nurses and doctors, our family and friends supported us in ways we did not even know we needed. We will seriously never be able to adequately thank them for the way they loved us throughout the whole thing.
Thankful for Mary-Cameron,
MJ
Week 35
Week 35 of pregnancy had me craving ICE CREAM really bad especially the new Blue Bell flavor. My sweet Jeffrey went to 4 different grocery stores to get it for me. It was worth it! Crazy to think I had all these plans to get my house cleaned, bag packed, nails & hair done before our scheduled C-Section two weeks from now. The lord had different plans!
Thankful for Jeffrey & Blue Bell,
MJ

Bestiecation
So WOW! I haven't blogged since JULY! I realize I am the only one who reads this, but in the attempt to be able to look back over this in the years to come I am going to play catch up. So here we go!
Every summer we take a staycation with our besties hence the name BESTIECATION! The last two summer's Krista or I have been pregnant, so it doubled as a babymoon too! This summer we headed to Dallas. We spent the day by the pool followed by a fun night out. The next morning we had yummy coffee, walked Klyde warren park, had brunch at Fearings and spent a little more time poolside before heading home! Whenever were with these friends its fun and this was no exception. We laughed ( I am sure I cried some too), set goals and just hung out. It was good for the soul! Little did we know Mary-Cameron would make her debut that week! More on that to come!
