Vermejo 2016

Jeffrey turned 30 in May and my father in law Rich turned 60 in February so we decided to take a trip that they would love to celebrate. We booked a fishing trip to Vermejo, New Mexico. Little did the boys know it would become one of our favorite places too. We stayed in the most beautiful house they just redid, fished a ton, had lots of yummy food and made sweet memories. We cannot wait to go back next May!

Thankful for birthdays,

MJ

Baylor Girls Night

My sweet roomie of 4 years Elaine offered to throw a Baylor girls luncheon for Mary-Cameron. We decided since we are never all together we should turn it into a girls night. Elaine hosted the most beautiful lunch and did not leave out one single detail. It was an afternoon I will never forget. After the lunch we headed to the Byron Nelson (first time ever) and had a blast spending the day on the golf course. Such a fun day celebrating our girl!

Thankful for Baylor girlies,

Jeffrey is 30

My sweet sweet hubby turned 30!  Jeffrey lives and loves so well, celebrating him is easy. We have honestly been celebrating since May 1. A big birthday for an incredible man calls for a big celebration. On his actual birthday we had donuts and coffee for breakfast and spent the evening with our best friends (James turned 30 at the beginning of May) celebrating. I wanted to do a big party, but Jeffrey said he would rather go on a trip (did not take much to convince me otherwise). So we leave Thursday for Vermejo, New Mexico.  We are going on a fishing trip with his Parents (his dad turned 60 in February). It is their favorite place on earth and us girls are excited to see it and experience the place they love so much.

Thankful for Jeffrey,

MJ

CTMS baby shower

I work at the best place with the most amazing people. They hosted a beautiful shower for Mary-Cameron and me. We felt so loved and got lots of goodies to help us prepare for this sweet girl. So overwhelmed with how special the place I work is.

Thankful for sweet co-workers,

MJ

Lake Tahoe

So we had an unexpected surprise come up this May in the form of a vacation. Which for Jeffrey and I is a real treat because we love nothing more than to go explore a new place together. He had to go to Lake Tahoe for work and so we decided to go early so we could take a little weekend trip together. It was even more charming than I had imagined and I cannot wait to go back. We got in late Friday night and went straight to the lake then a local place called Bite to eat american tapas. Saturday we got up bright and early we spent the morning in Truckee where we ate breakfast and explored their downtown. We made our way to Tahoe City for lunch and more exploration and then finally to Emerald Bay for a picnic by the lake. It was a beautiful day and the lake is more than I can describe. Sunday we rented bikes and went on a long bike ride in Incline Village where we were staying then headed to the lake for another picnic and spent the afternoon poolside reading and relaxing. Monday I had to leave, but not before we hit up IV coffee for the third time on our trip. Jeffrey stayed for work and I headed home. We are definitely looking for a way to get back that way.

Thankful for weekends away,

MJ

24 week bumpdate

I am a little behind, but we hit the 24 week mark with our sweet girl. Feeling her move is the coolest thing I have ever experienced. I pray our girl continues to grow. Gosh I cannot wait to meet her.

Thankful for Mary-Cameron,

Mother's Day 2016

This was a sweet Mother's Day because Ruthie was also dedicated at church. I am so thankful we live close enough to be able to drive in for stuff like that. Ruthie we pray you grow up to love and serve Jesus. We headed to Longview early Saturday morning. We started our day with snowcones at the cutest roadside stand, Shivers. Ruthie got her first taste.. I do not think she was the biggest fan. Then we had lunch and the girls went on to do some shopping while the boys looked at land. We got home in time to set up for a derby themed 30th birthday celebration for Jeffrey (his birthday is not until the 20th, but my family wanted to celebrate with him). We watched the derby, cooked steaks and hung out. Sunday we all went to church and then lunch. It was fun we were all together to celebrate my sweet mom. Gosh I cannot imagine our life without her. We were sad to be away from Cathey, but cannot wait to see her and celebrate her in a few weeks. We feel so thankful for both of our moms and the role they have in our life.

Thankful for our moms,

MJ
