Annie's Bachelorette Party

Well the last of our wedding festivites until the big day was a huge success. We had a blast celebrating the bride to be. She wanted to float the river and we did just that. We had the cutest cabin, tubes, sun, and great friends. It was a great weekend and we hope Annie enjoyed her last fling before the ring! Congrats sweet Annie!!! I will post more pics from my camera, but here are the ones from the Iphone!!

Thankful for Annie,

NOLA 2013

So like I said.. we have been busy!!! Anyways the day after Maddy's graduation I got on a plane to go to NOLA to meet Jeffrey. He was in one of our good friend Matt's weddings. We had such a blast exploring New Orleans. We ate lots of yummy food, went in a ton of school stores, saw lots of beautiful buildings, and made sweet memories with each other and our friends. We love to travel and explore new places and we did exactly that. NOLA we had a blast and can't wait to go back someday!

Did I mention we were there during Oyster fest? Lots of yummy Oysters!

Happy 27th Birthday a little (LOT) late!

Happy 27th Birthday to my sweet husband. Remember the last post when I talked about how busy we feel right now, well we definitely did not stop for Jeffrey's birthday. It was not our normal tradition, but it was fun just the same. Normally Krista and I plan a big surprise celebration for both James & Jeffrey, but this year was CRAZY. Between all the weddings, graduating grad school and just life we did not get to celebrate both of the boys together this year (so sad). We still had a blast celebrating Jeffrey. His parents came in a few days before and we had a blast hanging out in Dallas with them. Then I took him on a surprise date, we went to Torchy Taco in Ft. Worth and the new drive in movie. Let me tell you, if you are looking for a cheap (yes cheap..8 dollars for a movie ticket) date, then head on our to the Coyote Drive in. It was so much fun, they have food drinks, music, kids, dogs and lots of space to park your car. Not to mention great sound and clarity on the screens. We saw Gatsby and it was just a great night! I am thankful God created Jeffrey 27 years ago. I am thankful his parents  raised him into the Godly man he is. I am thankful he seeks God first and foremost. I am thankful he always thinks of me. I am thankful he can make me laugh like no one else can. I am thankful that I get to do life with him. Happy Birthday Jeffrey William Jones, I love you forever!

Thankful for Jeffrey,

MJ

Fun Catch up

We have been having lots of fun in good ole Grapevine! It has been busy to say the least, honestly I think this season Jeffrey and I are in might be the most on the go time I can remember. There are times when I feel overwhelmed with all that we have going on, but then I remember how lucky and blessed we are to be surrounded by such amazing people and opportunities. Here are some pics to capture the fun!

Thankful for fun,

New Job.. New Adventure

Yes that is right.. I got a new job. You might be thinking didn't you just get a new job? I pretty much did, well a year and a half ago. I was lucky enough to get hired as a counselor in the middle of the year and before I graduated with my masters. God was so perfect in his timing to place me at Elliott. I loved working with elementary kids, I had a great co counselor, and I got to use my job as my internship for school. Seriously God is good. Yet again he has called me to go somewhere else, in fact he has called me to be two minutes from my house at Cross Timbers Middle School. I am excited to be close to home, I am excited to be back in middle school but mostly I am excited to get to know and touch the lives of the kids in the community Jeffrey and I live in. The students in Grapevine/Colleyville have become very important to us through young life. I know God has given me this opportunity in perfect timing and because this is where he wants me. I am so excited to start my new job and adventure in GCISD. Irving you were VERY good to me and I have learned so much. I am who I am today because of the teachers I had in Irving and the amazing staff I worked with in my four years there. In the mean time I am so ready to enjoy my summer break!!!

Thankful for new adventures,

MJ
