#Jonesgirlsweekendtake1

So before I explain just how amazing of a weekend I had with my sweet mother and sister in law I have to document how the whole weekend came to be. Last June while we were visiting The Joneses in Lubbock, Cathey and I decided we needed to have a girls weekend. So we did some research to find a women's conference we thought sounded fun that we could all attend. We found that Ann Voskamp would be speaking in Midland in Jan..sooo we called JJ and asked if she would be interested and she said YES! So we booked it right then! Got hotels, purchased conference tickets and it was decided the first annual JONES girls trip would be happening in January 2015! We have texted SEVERAL times figuring out plans and all the details of our trip.. we were excited! Wednesday rolls around and I get a text around noon.. (keep in mind this is hours before JJ gets on a plane to Lubbock so that her and Cathey can drive to Midland to pick me up for a weekend conference) saying my flight has been canceled to Lubbock because of the weather and the soonest they will fly me out is Saturday (insert tears.. I mean we have been planning this for months) but fear not nothing was going to stop this girls trip! JJ got her flight changed to DFW, Cathey hopped in the car Wednesday afternoon with Rich and drove to Dallas. Girls weekend was saved! We had the best time shopping, eating, staying in a hotel, laughing and just spending time together. The whole point of the weekend was for the 3 of us to have time together and that we did! It was a super fun trip, and we made the sweetest memories, I will never forget! Already looking forward to Indiana in November! I sure am THANKFUL to be a Jones girl!

Girls night out with GCYL 17

Morgan and I decided we needed a girls night out since it had been so long since club or campaigners. We wanted to do something different and did some research. We stumbled upon Sunshine Glaze in Southlake thanks to our sweet friends Claire & Krista. We had the best night picking out pottery and painting together. I highly recommend this and look forward to going back. So so thankful for these sweet friends of mine, cannot believe they are close to being juniors (insert tears)!

Thankful for my sophomore girlies,

Shower Fun

This month I got to help host two really fun showers for two precious friends.

Lauren is having her first son anytime now and it was so fun getting to prepare her for Baby Beau. It was deer themed and matched the colors of her nursery. I cannot wait to meet this precious boy!

The second one was for Elaine! We have been friends since middle school and were room mates for 4 years at Baylor. She is getting married in March and I cannot wait to stand by her side!

Congratulations on all these fun times!

Thankful for celebrations,

MJ

Puppy Brothers

So just because I love our puppies so much I wanted to document them on the blog as well! This picture is just too good! Our friends The Laney's have two golden doodles from the same breeder. So that makes 4 doodle brothers in Grapevine. It is so crazy to have them all together, but oh soo fun!!

Thankful for puppy brothers,

2014 Review

So even though the thought of writing this out seems so tedious right now, I know years from now I will be so glad I did. I have done it a different way every year so far and I will keep doing that until I find the one I like the best. This year I am going to hit the highs of every month and limit my self to one picture to represent that month (CRAZY thought for me)! Anyways 2014 was an incredible year filled with lots of growing and fun memories. Excited to see what is in store for 2015! So here we go!

January: Was filled with lots of getting ready for a new year, setting routines, and gearing up for YL spring semester. I had my very first campaigners and has been going strong ever since. I am so thankful the Lord has made GCYL and specifically the class of 2017 a part of my life.

February: Happy Birthday to ME, we celebrated with sweet friends at the Truck Yard & Also GCYL got a building! Such a special time and incredible to see the lords faithfulness!

March: SPRING BREAK!!! We had a busy March a friends wedding,Annie turned 25, a trip to Napa and then to Jeffrey's work trip in Palm Springs. Both trips were an absolute blast and we hope to go back to both someday!

April: We celebrated Easter in Grapevine with some of our sweet friends, hung out a lot, did work on our backyard and had one incredible CRAWFISH boil!

May: Happy Birthday Jeffrey! We had a fun may with family in town, wrapping up the school year and celebrating Jeffrey!

June: I wrapped up the school year, we headed to Lubbock for Father's day and we left for Mexico for a Marshall family VACA!

July: We spent 10 days in Colorado at Frontier Ranch, came home and enjoyed the last weeks of summer and hung out with sophomores for some camp follow up.

August: Happy 30th Birthday NATHAN! We went to Longview to celebrate Nathan, we attended a balloon glow, and went back to work to begin another school year!

September: Jeffrey and I went on a weekend trip to Austin, Baylor Football kicked off their first season at McLane stadium, we got to visit our brick at the stadium, and we added a JONES.. Truett (the goldendoodle) joined our family very unexpectedly, but has been the best addition ever!

October: We celebrated sweet friends getting married, attended our 2nd Whirlwind weekend to Pleasure Pier in Galveston, I went to Jennie Allen for a girls weekend, and of course we celebrated Halloween (tourist and a pineapple).

November: EUROPE! Enough said! jk, but that was a huge part of the month and something we had been looking forward to all year long. We spent Thanksgiving on top of the Eiffle Tower, a day I WILL NEVER FORGET! We also celebrated our 3rd Wedding Anniversary and Baylor Homecoming. November is one of my favorite months!

December: Baylor won big 12 champs...AGAIN! We had so much fun celebrating with family, friends and enjoying the Christmas season, JNJ4 turned 1, and we went on our first GCYL ski trip!

Thankful for another year,

MJ

December was FUN

We got back from Europe on December 3 and hit the ground running. Thankfully I put all of our Christmas decor up before I left, except our tree. December was busy as always, filled with family, fun, decorations, presents, yummy food, christmas lights, dates, traditions, parties and so much more. We never want to forget why we celebrate and that is Jesus being born to die so that we could have a eternal life. For that we truly celebrate! We got to spend time with both of our families and lots of friends! We love this life we've been given and feel so blessed by all we have! We hope you all had a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Thankful for friends, family and fun,

MJ
