This was our first month home as newlyweds since December was filled with holiday travel and celebrations. We settled into our rent house in Downtown Grapevine, ate out way toooooooooooo much and just enjoyed being together. We rang in the new year at our house with some amazing friends, watched some Wampus Cats basketball (Go Coach Heflin), took a trip to Chicago to visit The Blandfords and celebrated more weddings.

1 year ago this month we were ENGAGED!! We celebrated our first married Valentines Day which was a fun day starting with breakfast and sweet dinner at home.We celebrated more marriages! My birthday is in Feb and Jeffrey gathered all my friends up for a surprise birthday dinner followed by cake and games at our house. On my actual birthday we spent the day hanging with our best friends (James & Krista) we walked to downtown for lunch and had a yummy dinner on Main street. It was a great month!

This is always a favorite month of mine because of SPRING BREAK! This year I stayed home and had so much fun playing with my family, friends and even Jeffrey took off a day of work. We also went downtown for the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Jen's Birthday Celebration. It is always such a fun time! We celebrated my sweet sisters Birthday in Ft. Worth. Had some more fun celebrating our friends at their weddings. I got to dress up as a Disney princess for a little girl at our churches birthday party. Our sweet Nephew Bennett was born! Oh and Jeffrey played against Tony Romo and Jason Whitten in basketball.

April was of filled with lots of wedding showers, hanging out and finishing up grad school for the semester. We also decided to become Young Life leaders, a decision that would change our lives. We attended our first YL event in April for their annual crawfish boil! We are so blessed to be a part of this organization and hope we can lead high school kids to Christ. We spent Easter weekend in D.C. with Cary, maybe one of the coolest trips I have ever been on!

In May we hosted our first annual community group Fiesta at our house. Celebrated two amazing moms in our life. Spent a weekend with our Best Friends (James & Krista), boys went fishing, Krista and I went shopping, went on a picnic at Lake Grapevine with Annie and Nathan,, played some YL kickball, went to a festival on main street and finished out the month meeting sweet Bennett and spending time with the rest of the Jones Clan. And we celebrated Jeffrey & James's 26th Birthdays in ft. worth visiting Rahr and the Food park!

We road tripped with Annie and Nathan to Corpus Christi for Trent & Victoria's wedding which was such a blast. We also celebrated two amazing dads! Had lots of fun dinners, drank starbucks, spent time in the sun, enjoyed fun Fridays, hung out with sweet friends and family oh and went to Grad school.

We spent an entire week in Boston with some our best friends. Including 4th of July on the Boston Harbor.We celebrated Daniel & Kim , Laura & Jon's and Jon & Lilly's marriages at three incredible weddings.Welcomed Baby Luke (Congrats Kenny & AL), hung out with my niece and nephew (Maddy & Max). Spent more time just enjoying the sun, each other, friends and family. Took a week long trip without Jeffrey ( do not plan on doing that again) to Florida with my family oh and went to Grad school! I almost forgot this was the month we started our supper club. We had our very first one in Grapevine! Such a fun tradition.

Finished summer school and got ready to head back to work. Annie got her first class room and we got to help set up that. We were also in the midst of getting ready for her engagement that would take place next month! (she had no clue). We baby sat Jon Ryman , celebrated sweet Sienna with a baby shower,enjoyed one last Friday of summer on a day date for the two of us, went to a rangers game, and celebrated more friends weddings, and soaked up the last bit of summer!

ANNIE & NATHAN ARE ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!! We traveled down to Waco for Labor day weekend for the first Baylor football game, at least that is what Annie thought. Little did she know she would leave engaged to the love of her life! Congrats we are so excited for yall! We also got to celebrate some of our very close friends engagement the very next weekend Mark & Lauren! AH such a fun time! We went to our first Grapevine football game and were in the full swing of club! We spent a weekend with our young life leaders at a retreat that was so relaxing and a great way to spend time in the word. I had some fun girls night including fashion night in town square and got in full swing of wedding planning! Annie said YES to the DRESS! ps Happy Birthday MOM!!!!

We jumped on a plane with James & Krista for a long weekend in Cancun to celebrate both of our anniversaries. Such an incredible trip.. can we go back? We hosted a pumpkin carving party at house for our community group, the Joneses came in town, visited the fair, attended an event at church, made a trip to Waco for some wedding planning, shopped for bridesmiad dresses, spent time with friends, attended lots of YL club, went to lots of football games, dressed up for work and enjoyed Halloween with friends.

We made our FRIST trip to Lubbock to see the Joneses to new home, we had so much fun spending the week there and are so thankful for precious time with family. We celebrated Krista's birthday (Happy Happy Birthday Krista), Baylor homecoming, which I am sad to say we did not attend this year, but we had a great time cheering on the bears at the Jeffrey's.We celebrated Will & Ashley's wedding, hung out with sweet friends, hung out with family, went to more football games and YL clubs. Last, but certainly not least we celebrated a wonderful FIRST year of marriage! I am so thankful for you Jeffrey Jones so glad God chose you to do life with me! I love you!

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OUR FIRST HOUSE!!!!! (more to come on this)
Finished up another semester of grad school, counted down the days to winter break, and got in the Christmas spirit. We stayed home for Christmas this year. We went on our annual date with the Jeffrey's (dinner and Cirque de Solei movie), attended my mom's church service, started a new tradition with Annie & Nathan (dinner, Christmas lights, Christmas movies and a sleep over), I took my first set of engagement pics (CONGRATS JAY & BRITT), attended Compass's Christmas eve service, the Women's christmas gathering, had a YL girls pinterest party, hosted and attended lots of fun Christmas parties, hosted my family at our house on Christmas eve, went to my mom's Christmas day. IT SNOWED! and just enjoyed spending time with each other. The rest of the month was spent hanging out with sweet friends, checking on my sister after her nose surgery, watching the BEARS win in their bowl game, welcoming sweet Jameson into the world (just barely, congrats to the Just's). We spent New Year's eve in Mansfield enjoying hibachi and our amazing friends!

WOW! That is really all I can say. What a year 2012 was. Looking back over it makes my heart filled with joy, and brings a smile to my face. I am feeling really grateful because Jesus has promised me none of this. To him be all the glory! I am so thankful for the friends and family we have in our life you truly mean more to us than we can express. We are lucky to have you on this journey with us. I cannot wait to see what God has in store for us in 2013.
