6 months with Mary-Cameron

Happy Half Birthday Sweet Girl!

We'll Never Forget: Giving you sweet potatoes for the first time, taking you to the park to swing, visiting the zoo and Kimball art museum, the start of your friendship with Griffin

You Love: Putting everything in your mouth, standing up, food, afternoon walks to the park to swing, cuddling in the morning, to SMILE

You Don't Like: Your carseat, to be put down for too long, to be sleepy or hungry

You Can: Almost sit up on your own, grab and hold on to lots of things, almost roll over, move around a lot, make lots of sweet noises, charm just about anyone

Mary-Cameron's First "SNOW" Day

So one Friday in January we woke to some "snow".. more like some light dusting, but for Texans thats enough to call it snow. MC and I put on our matching hats and headed outside for her to see.

It dusted all day long so we put on our warm clothes and even ventured out in it.. we got to enjoy some of it with our friends!

And just because I do not want people to think we have forgotten about the sweet puppy brothers they got to enjoy the "snow" too!

These girls.. in our home.. loving my girl! This picture means so much to me for so many reasons. Thank you Jesus for calling me to Grapevine Colleyville Younglife and for the sweetest friendships and memories we have made with the class of 2017. I pray we continue to fall more in love with you because life with you is beautiful even in the mess.

NYE 2016

Well to end 2016 I partnered with my sweet friends Jess & Natalie to plan a progressive dinner. (I can literally take zero credit for this amazing idea.. it was all Jess.. she is awesome!) Anyways Natalie hosted appetizers and had the best photo booth. Such a fun way to start the night. Jess had the main course and omg her house looked like it was out of a movie. The food was delicious and it was such a fun dinner! Dessert was at our house and it turned into a dance party/hang by the fire pit (if you were a boy). It was such a fun night in our neighborhood and we are hoping this becomes a new tradition.

The Joneses 2016

What an incredible year! The year I became a mom. It has truly brought me more joy than I have ever known and a love I cannot describe. To think that Jesus loves us even more than we love our babies is just mind blowing. So thankful for all 2016 brought to our family. There were lots of ups, downs, and in between. The Lord was with us through it all and I cannot wait to see what he has in store for 2017!

So normally I do a picture recap, but I am wiped out trying to catch up this blog. Here's a few hight lights from our year! It was the best!

Jan: We announced we were pregnant & took a fun trip to Chicago!

Feb: We found out we were having a GIRL!

March: We went to the Grand Canyon and Phoenix for Jeffrey's work trip. We also took our first ever Jones girls trip.

April: We planed for Mary-Cameron! Jeffrey went on a fun guys trip to Virginia Beach.

May: Jeffrey turned 30 and we celebrated ALOT. We went to Lake Tahoe and Vermejo! I also had two sweet baby showers and went to my first Byron Nelson!

June: We found out I had placenta previa and that changed some plans, but Mary-Cameron continued to grow! (Praise God) We had lots of sweet baby showers to celebrate our girl!

July: We went on a staycation and prepared for Mary-Cameron! My GCYL girls surprised me with the sweet baby shower, like seriously blew me away!Wait what am I saying.. surprise! Mary-Cameron joined us 5 weeks early on July 29, 2016. It was the BEST day! She scared us quite a bit, but she was a fighter and after a 10 day stay in the NICU we got to bring our girl home!

August: I honestly do not remember.. just kidding.. kind of.. We brought home our girl! We adjusted to life with sweet MC!

September: YL started back up and we started to find a new normal. Ruthie turned 1! I started Bible Study Fellowship, a moms group and Mary-Cameron and I started Music Class. We also cheered on our Bears!

October: Lots of fall fun, cheered for the Baylor Bears, Mary-Cameron started sleeping through the night and whew was that a game changer! I also decided to resign from my counseling job at CTMS to stay home with MC full time. It was a very bittersweet decision, but I am loving being able to be with my girl full time right now!

November: Jeffrey & I celebrated 5 years of marriage. We went on a weekend getaway to the hill country and it was such a sweet time reflecting on our marriage. We also celebrated Thanksgiving with both of our families and started to feel more in a routine.

December: We celebrated Christmas ALOT. We went on a YL ski trip, made sweet memories with friends and family.

We'll Never Forget: You laughing out loud, you lifting out of the carseat towards us, (#gifted), Your first sickness, first Christmas, leaving you with your grandparents while we went with GCYL (we missed you like crazy)

You Can: Push up with your feet and balance with our help, grab things, make lots of sweet sounds, look all around

You Love: Looking around, watching screens, fires in the fireplace, sucking your thumb, music, Santa, Christmas lights, people

You Don't Like: Being put down, being sleep, if we stop for a break while your eating
